Install checklist

What happens after you click Add to Slack

1. Add to Slack (OAuth + signature checks)

Complete Slack OAuth while our Laravel VerifySlackSignature middleware validates every request before tokens are issued.

Only after the signature matches do we persist encrypted workspace credentials.

2. Choose channels & forms

SlackService fetches tenant forms and channel lists so you can decide where submissions should post and who needs notifications.

Need private channel access? Invite the Formulatiq bot after install to unlock it.

3. Configure automations

Every submission becomes a report created via SlackRepository → ReportService, so ownership, routing, and analytics stay consistent.

Map GTM, support, and ops templates without leaving Slack.

Need a private deployment? Book a 15-minute security review.

Security & compliance

Enterprise-grade guardrails

  • Least-privilege access: Slack scopes stay limited to the permissions listed in the Add to Slack dialog.
  • Signature verification: The Laravel VerifySlackSignature middleware checks every request before we touch workspace data.
  • Audit-friendly logging: SlackEventAuditService records each call with timestamps and request IDs.
  • Data controls: Administrators can revoke tokens instantly from either Slack or the Formulatiq dashboard.

Everything you need to confidently share this installation page with procurement, admins, and security teams.

Which Slack scopes are required?

Formulatiq requests chat:write, commands, and read access for channels, groups, IMs, and mentions so we can post responses and answer contextual questions. User scopes cover identity so workspace owners can see who connected.

Can I test before rolling out?

Yes. Install the app inside a sandbox or private channel first, experiment with our sample forms, and promote to production when you are ready.

What if we need a custom install guide?

Our team can prepare a tailored runbook for enterprise rollouts, including security reviews and data retention policies.
