Upstream and downstream
Reputation tools and feedback tools get compared constantly, and the honest framing is that they sit on opposite sides of publication. Customer Alliance is downstream: the review exists, and the job is to see it, understand it and answer it well. Its OTA integrations are the product, and Formulatiq has no equivalent.
Formulatiq is upstream. The premise is that a guest who tells you about a problem at the table, and gets it fixed before leaving, does not write the review that would have needed answering. That only works if the feedback reaches someone who can act while the guest is still there — which is a routing and accountability problem, not a monitoring one.
What upstream requires
Collection has to be frictionless, which is why the QR layer is detailed: styles, frames, a centre logo, your own wording on the frame, and per-scan source tracking so you can tell which placements actually earn responses.
Then the item has to reach an owner. Assignment rules match on form, department and priority. SLA policies set separate first-response and resolution targets and name who a breach escalates to. Every action is logged. That machinery is what makes prevention a process rather than a hope.
Cost shape
Reputation platforms are typically priced per property — Customer Alliance is generally quoted around EUR 63-95 per hotel per month. For a single site evaluating whether structured feedback helps at all, that is a large first step. Formulatiq starts at $19/month. Compare on the job you need done: these are different products at different prices, not the same product cheaper.
